With our project called “Buy One! Plant One! Go-Green initiatives” that will be launched and aired on our online radio station, we are committed to reforestation initiatives and its impacts on the eco-system, understanding the effects of deforestation in Nigeria’s and sub-Sahara Africa and how it affects our everyday lives as humans. Since the wood and timber industries provide 90% of the raw materials for our everyday household items, such as chairs, tables, beds, kitchen cabinets, and wardrobes, a portion of the proceeds from each BetaHome.ng product sold is donated to the online radio program that highlights the advantages of ethical business practices in the wood and timber industry, channeling every waste into renewable energy.

We have developed a robust platform that is dedicated to giving every service-oriented individual and every well meaning Nigerian who can provide a service with a way to make a living; our platform is a service-powered community that offers a variety of opportunities for every member and supports local artisans by giving them a platform to showcase their abilities and promote their work on the platform. We are also committed to reforestation efforts, waste recycling and renewable energy, because we are aware of how deforestation affects Nigeria’s natural resources and sub-Sahara Africa at large. BetaHome.ng greatly reduces its environmental impact by utilizing only products made from sustainably sourced resources.

Sawdust Briquettes

As a result of increased sawmill activity brought on by population growth, the wood industries are facing a pressing challenge in disposing of their waste. The use of sawdust as a substitute energy source will address this issue. Across the globe, notably in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa, massive amounts of sawdust are produced every year. Every year, Nigeria produces more wood waste, and the amount of sawdust that is produced causes disposal issues that are of concern to governments and businesses worldwide. Sawdust is estimated to make up between 10 and 20 percent of wood waste.

Renewable Energy

The issue of disposing of waste from the wood industries is an urgent challenge for the sectors. Sawdust, as an alternative energy source, will provide a solution to this problem. A large amount of wood waste that can be turned into energy resources for necessities like cooking, heating, mechanical power, and lighting.
